WHAT IS HYKIT?
Hykit (hike-it) is a new canned wine brand from the winemakers at Lone Madrone. We thoughtfully blend the freshest sustainably produced whites, reds and roses from the Central Coast of California and bring them to you in a personal and portable format. Hykit’s bold design and crisp, refreshing wines are the perfect companion for the wine loving outdoor enthusiast.

Hykit is crushable in every sense of the word. These crisp and quaffable wines in lightweight cans are ideal for hikers, beach goers, climbers, surfers, cyclists, skiers, snowboarders and any other intrepid soul.
Hykit can be enjoyed at home as well! The smaller portion size makes it possible to enjoy your Tuesday night wind down glass without popping an entire bottle. Likewise, if you would prefer to taste different wines over the course of an evening, you can easily enjoy a glass of rose as an aperitif, a white wine for your appetizer and a red for your entree, without wasting a drop.
WHY CANS?
Lighter, Tighter, Healthier
Wine in cans? Yes...heck yes! The advantages of having our wine in can abound.
Cans are extremely light. Like, 200 times as light as bottles. Not only do they weigh much much less in your pack, but we are lowering our emissions and carbon footprint by as much as 80%. Keeping our natural spaces healthy is of paramount importance!
Second, they require less room to store. You can store 1.5 L of canned wine in the same space as 750 ml of wine in bottle. Again, great for your packing or coolering, but also important in reducing the number of trains, planes and automobiles that it takes to move Hykit around the world.

Not convinced? EPA studies have shown that only 26.4% of glass bottles are recycled compared to 54.9% of canned beverages. Our packaging is 100% recyclable and twice as likely to be recycled.

Don't cans taste different than bottles? Well, not anymore. It's true that cans used to impart some chemically flavors into their contents as a result of a chemical lining inside. This is no longer the case. We're not sure how they did it, but these cans are at least as good at storing our wine as bottles. No chemically flavors, just honest and delicious wine.
